Waiting on God when prayer is yet to be answered or when what we expected from God is yet to manifest is one of the hardest thing to do. There are times when we pray and trust God with everything in us and we so need Him to intervene and yet, nothing changes, same status quo - silence everywhere. At first, it’s easy to pray and wait with great expectancy for God to answer. But as the days and weeks and months and years roll on with no answer in view, we can begin to wonder whether God is even listening.

What to do at this period of your life is what I'm about to point out today:

TEXT: "My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him" (Psalms 62:5)

It is gainful to wait on God concerning any issue of concern in our life. Wait on God means to patiently look unto Him for what we need and the way out of any challenge we find ourselves. King David recognized why he had to wait on the Lord. Firstly, he said he will wait on God because his salvation came from Him (Ps. 62:1). David learned that no one else could deliver him. His only hope was in God (Ps 62:5), for God alone hears our prayers (Ps 62:8). For these reasons, he learned to wait on God.
