TEXT: "The Lord blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the first. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys" (Job 42:12)
If you study the story of Job very well you will marvel at God's abundance in restoration. Job was a man who lost everything; a good and righteous man bewildered at what had happened in his life. Yet even though all these things happened to him, he did not turn from his God. He maintained his faith and his belief. Can that be said of you today?
Job said: "Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him" (Job 13:15).
The Lord not only restored Job's fortunes, he restored them in abundance. Today's anchor scripture says: "The Lord blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the first. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys" (Job 42:12).
You might be in the furnace of affliction right now. You might be alone and lonely. You might feel lost and afraid. Your life may lie in pieces, scattered on the floor of despair and wondering how they will ever be whole again. The good news is that God can take the shattered pieces of your life, making it into a vessel strong enough to hold all the blessings he wishes to pour into it.
Beloved, God promises not only to restore what was lost in your life, but to restore it abundantly. He said: "I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten. ... You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will my people be shamed" (Joel 2:25-26). Trust God to bring these promises to pass in your life.
PRAYER: I see God restoring you with abundance, in Jesus name.
