21 WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE WEEK

Ø Instead of giving up on a person, give that person to God.

FIX YOUR HEART ON HIM

HEBREWS 3:1

Five times in Scriptures the word 'fix' is used by God to give us direction. God gives us a clear direction to keep our focus fixed upon His will; for us to permanently maintain our focus, our center of attention, firmly on God.

1. Deuteronomy 11:18 (NIV) Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds.

Here, we are admonishes to keep our hearts and minds, our intellect and the very fiber of our being, always feasting on the word of God, constantly meditating on His word and doing His will.

2 .Proverbs 4:24-31 (NIV). Fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.

This verse cautions us to keep our direction on the right path, to follow only His ways, to not be side-tracked by distractions, but to stay on the firm path of the King’s highway.
