TOPIC: SECURING AND KEEPING YOUR OPEN DOOR - PT 2
Are you knocked down by circumstances of life? Have you been kept in bondage by Satan? Are you really trusting God for open doors/the way out of that challenge? Are you in a fixed that the way out is not in view? If yes, then
today's devotion will help you.
The scripture says at midnight (Midnight here speaks of that moment in life when all hope is lost, you feel abandoned, rejected and left alone to bear that burden, etc). That was the case with Paul and Silas. They did not complain, murmur or backslide, in spite of their challenges, they prayed and sang to God, not silently but loudly. I'm sure other prisoners would have laughed them to scorn. But suddenly, there was a great earthquake, and the prison shook to its foundation. All the doors flung open, and their chains fell off - Hallelujah! (Acts 16:25-26). The Master Himself stepped in.
Praise has the capacity to open the door of any prison. It carries in it the power to break any chain of Satan. Have you prayed and it seems nothing is happening? Switch to praise even if you don't feel like it. Any time you praise God in spite of your circumstance, God Himself comes for your rescue. Praise brings God down for your intervention.
Praise becomes a sacrifice when you don’t feel like it. Anybody can praise God when things are fine and rosy, but when you despise your circumstances and praise God, it becomes a sacrifice that He cannot overlook. Don’t look at your situation today, look unto God and find joy in His unfailing Presence. This will give you strength to praise Him.
To be continued tomorrow!
Set out time today to praise Him (minimum 30mins).
PRAYER: Today, I declare you free from any bondage you are in, in Jesus name.
