MORNING TEA DEVOTIONAL

MORNING TEA DEVOTIONAL:

Heb 6:12 "That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through FAITH and PATIENCE inherit the promises."
"For ye have need of PATIENCE, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise." (Heb 10:36) The word that people don't like to hear is PATIENCE. I want you to know this morning that patience is part of the attributes of faith.
The Bible says "...he that believeth shall not make haste." (Isaiah 28:16b). So, one of the proofs of your faith is patience. When you see yourself being anxious over any issue because of delay as it were, it shows your lack of faith.
It is worth noting that many people are waiting and are impatient. Waiting and patience are two different things. Hence, the understanding of patience is necessary. Patience is not only the ability to wait for something as some think but the ability to put up the right attitude while waiting for it. David said "I waited patiently on the LORD, and He inclined to me..." (Ps 40:1). Your attitude while waiting is a product of your patience or impatience and invariably determines when the answers will come. This was the case of Abraham. The Bible tells us he did not stagger at the promise of God through unbelief but he was strong in faith giving glory to God (Rom 4:20). Waiting without patience reveals your pride. A proud person finds it difficult to be patient. He/she always complain at the slight of any delay. Watch it lest you fall victim of this plague called impatience. How to be patient while waiting shall be our focus tomorrow!
Don't miss it!!!
